Stepford bitch in paradise

I watched Supernatural 4.22, finally! I don't know about you, but I loved this season (I mean, demons? you see that everywhere. But angels? that's usually avoided, and most of the time is not done right).

Hoho yes, this is my review of Lucifer Rising.

"Lucifer Rising." Parallel to the title of the first episode of the season, "Lazarus Rising", but most importantly, proof that the writers/producers of Supernatural will dare anything. Lucifer rose. They did it. They actually did it. And after Dean actually went to Hell in last season's finale, I can't say it's a total surprise, but I still have to show some love, it's amazing.

I wasn't surprised Ruby turned out to be bad, and I loved that she was killed with her own knife. Let's see... Azazel? done. Lilith? done. Ruby? done. Perfect, the Azazel plot paid off in a great way, let's move on!

Sam went all black-eye when he killed Lilith. Did he crossed the line and became something else? He still seems to be himself. And he acknowledge that Dean was right. And they both apologized. You know, at this point I don't want the brother against brother thing to happen, I want the two of them fighting evil together!

I'm curious about why Lucifer specifically needed a special child like Sam. Was it just so Sam could kill Lilith and break the final seal or does he need a human vessel like all the other angels?

And talking about that... the angels want the apocalypse? We've been told for a while that they are dicks, we knew Uriel and his BFF had teamed up with Lucifer's fanbase and that angels in general don't care if boatloads of humans die for God's cause, but why would angels (all of them) want the apocalypse? Zachariah said that God had left the building. Where is he? It would be really interesting if Sam and Dean got to meet him. I like how the writers handled angels, I'd love to see how they'd handle God.

Chuck's prophecy changed because Castiel jumped ship. That was brilliant. I am in love with Castiel. I love his relationship with Dean, that -- admiration, kind of friendship, something.

And Chuck was going to blow all of his money on hookers. Heh. I like Chuck. The Monster at the End of this Book was one of my favorite episodes of the season (when Castiel tells Chuck he's a fan of his work... I knew there would be "I like full frontal Dean" icons everywhere, I wonder what would have happened if they found out about angel!porn).

There's been talk that Season 5 will be the last, and I think I'm ok with it. It's better if the show ends on a creating high and at the creators hand.

Think about it, there's a great set-up for next season: Lucifer. Dean and Sam on the run from demons and angels. Castiel, now an outcast, joining them. I'd like to see more of Anna and Chuck. And Bobby. Everything is better with Bobby. It will be one hell of a season!

They will enter their final season as fucking legends!
