This was my sixth week on weight watchers, and I am about to embark on week 7. I have lost right around 10 lbs since starting. That is like 2 sacks of potatoes. I like to imagine those potatoes were physically stuck to my thighs and belly before and now I have plucked them and cast them off. Clothes are definitely fitting much more loosely than before. I feel healthy and positive.
Last week was the first week since I started the plan that I used all of my flex points. It started with a work happy hour last friday, where--after two glasses of wine--I decided it would be a good idea to down most of a basket of french fries. I hadn't had fries in months, so when I got home and calculated the points for those...let's just say I was pretty horrified. And almost out of flex points to boot. I used what few points I had left at my anniversary dinner with Will, but that was a special occasion and the food was sooooo good that it was totally worth it. But I had to eat right on point for the rest of the week, which wasn't too hard. And I still managed to lose this week.
Will signed up for weight watchers this week too, and it's nice to be able to share the experience with him. He seems pretty excited about the plan so far and I've been giving him a bunch of tips. He's already lost something like 4 lbs, but he has longer to go to his goal than I did. I am currently about 7 lbs from my goal! It's exciting to think I could be as close as 5 lbs away from my goal in another week or two.
