I started wearing makeup more often in the past year, too. I found that the itchiness and gunky feeling that I got with makeup in the past was not the same when I got Aveda stuff (I'm not positive they are full vegan, but they are primarily plant-based and don't test with animals). If I get the same lack-of-reaction with these folks, then I'll know it was all the chemical crap in the more mainstream stuff.

Both Aveda and Urban Decay still have chemically type ingredients, but the overall quality is still far better than any of your drug store brands. You'll have to let me know what you think! Urban Decay has some really fun colors....

Just to let you know, I can't vouch for the Urban Decay mascara myself, since I haven't tried it. I use Ecco Bella and Zuzu mascaras, which are both vegan, and more naturally type brands. If you feel like trying either of those, you can buy Ecco Bella at Whole Foods or health food stores, and Zuzu online.
Good luck with whatever you try, and let me know how it works out for you!
