It was A Feast For Crows by George R. R. Martin. I have been waiting for this book for years and am therefore a thoroughly happy Ed.

Same here - except mine is waiting for me at work, and I've probably got close to a week off in desperate need of something to read. Blimmin' typical!!

I was late to the party (I only read the first ones last year after playing the boardgame). But it's a good series (for fantasy of course)
