We could try Kangaroo in Australia I guess. I think Moreton Bay Bugs are Australian too.

Hmm. I recently adopted a 'no arthoropods' rule following a nasty bout of food poisoning. I'd be tempted to break this.

I've eaten guinea pig - it's a standard food in South America. In the main cathedral in Lima there's a picture of the Last Supper with Jesus and the disciples chowing down on the small and furry ones...

Heh -- our list is identical except that I've eaten kangaroo.

Any idea what an Australian Meat Pie is? That is, is it just a pie filled with meats from Australia, or is it a very specific thing, like Montreal smoked meat is? (Lamb.)

I know, you're just filling out a list. My list, by the way, would be identical to yours.

I don't want to eat guinea pig!

Also, I feel this generally discriminates on my eating habbits of the past year and a half. I specifically ought not to have eaten most of the things on this list.

Not exactly a veggie-friendly meme, true.

Pah. How you take seriously any such list that doesn't include foie gras?

Maybe fois gras was a bit "political" for the Beeb. Sorry to see that truffles were not included, though. Far rather have truffle than kebab.

Reindeer, eh? What does it taste like? I'm curious!

If I remember correctly, it was similar to venison. It was well over 20 years ago, though.
