I hope so, but on this one I'm less optimistic than usual. Not even getting to air beyond the four is going to be a blow, and so unless someone else picks up the rights to at least air the other 9, I can't see them ever arriving unfortunately. Still, I'll remain hopeful.
tbh I dont see many stations that would have kept wonderfalls on with the ratings as bad as it was, in fact only two stations I could see keeping a show with such low ratings on would have been HBO or BBC. While other shows have been dropped by FOX where the ratings might not have been great but wernt too uncompetative for anything the station has run in its timeslot Wonderfalls ratings were simply hopeless.
I can get angry at a station pulling the plug on shows that are putting in adequate ratings but I really cant fault them for pulling something thats failing no matter how good it is, especially when its a commercial station that needs the ad revenue (I mean if it was the BBC for example I might be more angry as thats kind of the whole point of the BBC to show alot of things with lesser appeal that wouldnt find themselves in any other station)
Do you get paid to be devil's advocate or something? :)
Just out of interest, how much did you expect the show to pull in ratings wise when positioned against CSI and The Apprentice? It was pretty much the nail in the coffin for it at the end.
Tru Calling pulls in much lower numbers than Wonderfalls, yet got the pick up.
Oh, and I can moan at stations for cancelling things based on quality, but we've had the art vs business debate enough times before.
Your actually wrong Eddie, Tru Calling out performs Wonderfalls. Wonderfalls was apparently the worst rating show on Fox this season. And even against the shows its up against it should have done better, the ratings werent even adequate.
And Eddie you cant have it both ways you cant complain about paying things like the licence fee which means no matter how bad a shows ratings are the run will be finsihed and then moan at a commercial station cancelling a show because the ratings are so low that its not finacially viable. Pulling shows like Firefly is premature as the ratings were adequate and still attractive for advertisers, wonderfalls simply wasnt and there has to be a stage where money is more important than art because otherwise there would be no money to make any shows
