Eddie, I've missed your LJ posts! I play bass guitar as well - just picked it up a couple summers ago - and i fucking love it. RANDOM --> If you're a fan of The Cure, I highly recommend learning some of their songs on bass...they have excellent basslines.

I saw that 'Tonightly' thing, it reminded me of The 11 O'Clock Show a bit. Except without any Ali G/Ricky Gervais type distractions from the sheer 'will-this-do?' f***wittery of it all.

Playing bass is smashing fun. I prefer it because you only have four strings to worry about and you generally only have to use two of them in any given song. Piece of piss.

Mind you, these days, I have to hop between playing bass, guitar and violin in three different bands, which makes my brain hurt. Serves me right for being a show-off.

If you need a spare Violin there is one for sale in a charity shop in Camden for 20 pounds.I though about buying it but i already have quite a large collection of instruments that I cant play and have decided that its time to be realistic about my abilities

Tonightly is one of many piss-poor tv shows trying to pass themselves off as comedy of late. Have you seen BBC3 recently? I used to love that channel, when the Mighty Boosh, Nighty Night, Ideal and Snuff Box used to be on. Yet, they're still showing Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of fucking Crisps. Why?! And a show called Touch Me, I'm Karen Taylor that makes me embarrassed to be female...

I could bitch about the decline of comedy all day. Good day, sir!

There still making new episodes of "Two Pints Of Lager" which is even worse.who is it aimed at? its awful.

Its a pretty bad state of affairs isnt it.ALL British television seems to be awful at the moment.I only use my telly to watch DR WHO.

I'm definitely turning into a grumpy old man.
