So the weather has finally turned, sort of. It's not nice enough to comfortably kayak or bike now, plus DST ended and it gets dark so early, so it's indoors-season now. Things have changed a lot since my last update. It's September now, so the busy season is over. Sadly, my schedule is way different now, so it doesn't make sense to spend two nights a week at work. Had a really annoying day on the water yesterday. Caught a ton of fish but it rained on me seven times. Forecast said no rain. None. Then seven storm bursts formed right in front of my eyes over the course of eight hours on the water. Spent a few under trees near the shore. It was hot today. So much so that I just did not feel like going fishing. I ended up just playing on the computer, listing junk for sale online, watching the Tigers game (what I could stomach of until shutting it off in anger), going for two bike rides around town and, sadly, playing on my phone. Well, my run went well, surprisingly. The toe only hurt for the first two blocks or so. After that, I guess I just was able to ignore it and had no problem the rest of the trek. It was rather cool the past few days. Kind of annoying at night while riding bikes around at work. My hands get cold easy and I hate wearing a jacket while patrolling. The trip to Midland was a success. Got rid of all the styrofoam and batteries at the recycling center, bought new pair of work boots for the summer, loaded up on Aldi essentials and the Loons won 8-3. It's finally the last week of school. The insanity will end soon. Spent the past two days in 6th grade science. Thankfully the kids are just doing fun stuff. Today was especially awesome.
