Being stuck in an office with negotiating agents was rapidly becoming Eddie's idea of hell. For hours on end. All he wanted was to play out the season. Jason glanced at Chuck and took Eddie by the arm pulling him away from the other exiting people. "Baby, I need t'talk t'you. Is there a conferrence room, or somewhere private we c'n talk?"

Just seeing Eddie standing in front of him was like a calming balm to his anxiety. He wanted to hold Eddie close, smell him, taste his kiss and then, THEN he would know that his Yank was safe. But such indulgences were not appropriate, not here in the public hallway.

Jason was right. It was a lot to take in. Someone was after Jason? And maybe him? Seriously? He finally managed a few disbelieving words. "At my house?"

If there was someone at his house, checking it out to make sure it was safe, then that meant the guy, Devlin, might go after him there. At his house. Which was supposed to be safe already, because people aren't supposed to break in and try to hurt him. And now there was going to be some guy following him around? Eddie swallowed and tried to be a little more eloquent. "What...how...I...what are you going to do?"

He was hoping, probably absurdly, that Jason wasn't going to be in danger, that he would be well out of it too.
