Coming home again - backdated to the vacation [for jasonlocke]

Finally Eddie and Jason were making it to the farm, managing the last drive without getting distracted by each other. Too much.

They didn't go past town to get to the farm, turning off about twenty minutes before it and continuing on a little road for awhile. The farm ended up being about forty five minutes from town, turning off the road onto a dirt track that led to the homestead.

And the homestead was a doozy. A big ramshackle old house, much bigger than what was needed for the three people that had lived there, at most. Eddie grinned, knowing that behind that was the barn, with the cats that he was sure Jason'd go nuts over. Probably there'd be kittens in there. The loudest thing there was the silence and the sky seemed to bigger than usual. Eddie slipped into this place like it was an old comfortable slipper. Only place he belonged more was on a baseball field.

Eddie stretched when he got out of the car and then looked at Jason. "You ready to go? My pa'll be out on the farm now but Grandma'll be in the house. Probably."
