I'm surprised that Google doesn't have a release date for the Mac version yet. Or that they didn't have it ready at launch. Most of the reviews I read weren't particularly favorable (slower than Safari, huge memory needs, etc.), but I don't have a windows machine to test it on.

Mac's commercials lately made me change my mind about picking up an Ipod. Advertising in reverse!

I'm surprised about the Mac-less release too, but then again, it's only just come out. I'll be stunned if you don't see something for your other machines very, very soon. Especially considering Google's 'cloud' philosophy where such applications are concerned.

Dunno about you, but so far, it seems to render all of my standards-compliant stuff 100% correct - unlike IE (but like Firefox, Opera, Safari (new enough), and Konqueror).

a few hours? I was almost entirely without internet in Japan for the last two weeks, how do you think I feel? :P

On the plus side I've just about convinced my parents that getting an HSDPA modem for when I'm in Germany for my term abroad is a good idea. My bro has a 7.2 Mb/s connection in Japan, which is faster than my hardline here, so... damn.

Trick is trying to find a carrier that'd work both here in the states and over in Germany, also, most of the shit here is EVDO which maxes out anound 2 Mb/s. Lame.

You should be sure to let us know how Chrome seems to be after you've been playing with it longer - give it a week, give it a month, compare and contrast!
