I just got an email about Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. It sounds like it would be fun! I also would like to play Mario Pinball Land and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Does anyone else know anything more about them. I've read a little bit about them at Nintendo.com and ign.com.

i played paper mario and it seemed as if somebody was constantly holding my hand through the first hour of the game. i had to stop playing before my brains turned into kindergarten mush.

How else are you supposed to learn how to play? It's not a standard RPG, so the features need explanation. You wouldn't just assume that you need to time button presses to do extra damage, press other buttons to prevent damage, and try to be flashy to impress the crowd.

great, unconventional RPGs like Fable dont require an hour of the same tips and slow gameplay. if they would have shortened the tuitoral phase, i may not have thrown up.

I don't understand how you could shorten it. In-game tutorials like that are very common in a lot of games. If you just play games where you run around shooting things, of course you're not going to see tutorials. The gameplay is mindless and self-explanatory.

Fable is an overhyped ball of shit, and they lied about how deep it was going to be. Play a MMORPG. They're a lot like Fable, only without the soul ripped out.

Kirby is supposed to be good, but you only get the full experience when four people play at the same time.

Mario Pinball Land is abysmal. The Kirby and Pokemon Pinball games are a million times better.

Paper Mario is great. While it's not the same as Mario & Luigi, it shares a few key similarities, so I think you'll like it. Several of the scenes are hilarious, and it's been getting rave reviews across the board.
