I just read on Fox's own site that they won an Emmy for special effects on Firefly. They won a freakin' Emmy, and they still left the series canceled

The opening song is only written by Whedon. You can hear him sing it on the special features, but the credit version is done by someone else.

I was annoyed when I heard how great this show was and it was cancelled, but I didn't watch it when it was on, and neither did most people so I guess I am part of the problem. Although it does sound like Fox fucked it up so that even if I had watched it I probably wouldn't have stuck with the confusion.

I didn't watch it either. I remember thinking it looked corny, just like Eric told me it looked yesterday.

The problem is, you have to watch it from the begining. If you don't, you don't get what's going on, and you don't get all of the liitle subtle jokes.
