HOW IS IT I HAVE NOT CLICKED THAT LINK BEFORE? I HAVE SEEN IT BEFORE AND NEVER CLICKED IT OMG.

I'm glad you're enjoying my Star Trek posts XD They amuse me.

Perhaps you would be interested in the webcomic I'm currently working on concept art for. I call it "The Adventures of Ensign Redshirt Ricky".

Space Sweeney: ftw. Light cop: ftw also.

MOAR ICONS.

And really, you just took a stand for all of us who cannot control our fannage. WE HAVE TO PREPARE THE WORLD FOR THE SPREAD OF OUR NUMBERS.

THE ICONS ARE COMING. I RECENTLY PURCHASED TOS SEASON TWO AND SO THERE SHALL BE MANY, MANY ICONS. MOST OF THEM, I HAVE TO ADMIT, EITHER MCCOY OR SPOCK OR SPOCK/MCCOY.

Really, though. Anything approaching the speed of light begins to lose mass and it converts from what it is into photons. Even other forms of energy can't move at lightspeeds. In order to travel at lightspeed, one must essentially become light. Now, if there were a way to convert matter into energy and back again? Oh hells yeah. But you'd still be only travelling at lightspeed, and when you're talking about things that are lightyears distant, transgalactic travel is practically and theoretically impossible.

HOWEVER. I stand by the idea of hyperspace as a convenient way of getting around that particular tricky issue.

Also I apologize for the science lesson. I'm working on the setup for my NaNo this year a couple months in advance because I'm writing a sci-fi and so I'm taking these few months to do some science research because I don't want to get bogged down ( ... )

I applaud both the science lesson and your researching skills in preparation for November. And, actually, Spock/McCoy, just because doctoring and logic should go together like peanut butter and jelly, amirite?

Speaking of November, omigosh I am creating this alien species, right? And I was like "HMM WHAT IF BIRDS WERE SAPIENT" and suddenly I'm working with dinosaur-like creatures. DINOSAURS. Because I like the theory that birds are descendants of dinosaurs; it makes sense to me, I can see it in the anatomy of the creatures and there's a ton of really intriguing similarities, particularly between bipedal dinosaurs and birds BUT THAT'S ANOTHER STORY FOR ANOTHER DAY. Ahem. I get so carried away when I'm talking about science...

ANYHOW. This alien species I'm creating is pretty fabulous, but I need to work on another species too so I can throw one random non-human into my mostly-human crew (the basic plot is STARSHIP GETS STRANDED ON DISTANT PLANET HAS NO WAY OF CONTACTING HOME AND IS SEVERELY DISABLED BY CRASH LANDING. CAN THE CREW SURVIVE.)

So I really want the new planet to be as varied as Earth and to have a rich and lush history, where avians rather than mammals became the dominant intelligent species and OHMYGOD IT'S GOING TO BE
