At the time I wrote this, my goal was pure unadulterated escapism along the lines of Mark Twain's intro to The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, namely that, "PERSONS attempting to find a motive in this narrative will be prosecuted; persons attempting to find a moral in it will be banished; persons attempting to find a plot in it will be shot."
However, after peer review day, I've been able to refine it into promotional material for Michigan Tech. I'm still going for humor, but now it has some direction to guide it and some context to temper it. See also the revised post from Thursday.
