Revelation for the day-

Employers should allow a two drink maximum at work. I was talking with Anne in IM's about how word would be so much more tolerable if I could nurse a gin & tonic before lunch and then another after lunch.

I agree, except why only two? If one is still able to perform one's function, why not ten?

Flirting with disaster. lol Because we all know the sorts: "Oh! I can hold my liquor!"

Two drinks later said person is either sprawled out on the floor or singing the Star Spangled Banner while wearing nothing but a lampshade.

That said- there are times when I feel that 10 drinks would be mighty nice while at work. :D

Yeah. There are also people for whom 2 gin and tonics mean totally wasted. Particularly if they're on medicine or something like that. So even if it's 2 drinks, you're still relying on people's judgment about their limits. So, why have a maximum and just say, "You can't be too drunk to perform your job."
