It's been an amusing few days to say the least. I've yet to find a time to drive two hours into the country and take the artsy photo's of the dogs yet, but it's a project I'm looking forward to. Yesterday was a great day. For some odd reason, when I was younger I collected tarot cards. Not just any set of tarot cards. The 'Universe' card, sometimes called 'The World'. I was reminded earlier of this while reading The Solitaire Mystery yet again. The father of the main character collects jokers from a regular pack of cards, very symbolic of his lot in life ( Read more... )

They call me a tomboy. A dear friend calls me "blokette", a running joke in reference to a very long and arduous hike we took together. I was always one of the boys, right down to "ballet dancer with skinned knees". I have always been a huge advocate of goverment spending in social programs. And yet, the government doesn't see the fundamental resource that social programs are.
