"If people could see the animals in fur farms, they would never use a fur coat," AnimaNaturalis president Leonora Esquivel, said in the statement. "The look on those animals' faces stays in your mind, a look that says: 'why?'"

Exactly, so why do they choose nudity over, say, setting up huge screens playing videos of animals in fur farms? Wouldn't that be more effective as far as "shocking" people goes? The only people who are going to be drawn to a nude protest most likely just want to see naked people rather than care if animals are being slaughtered.

I agree with you. I don't think the nudity speaks nearly as loud as the bare footage could. I don't quite get the nudity thing, either.

Yeah. I understand the entire "I'd rather go nude than wear fur" ad campaigns with sexy naked ladies but I think it's too distracting from the actual message they're trying to get across. I never wore fur before, but seeing those ads made me mad at PETA if anything. I guess they find exploiting women to be okay. They should just try to get more shows like 20/20 to show the mistreatment of animals in such conditions and instead of trying to go to extreme measures and getting everyone to go vegan, I think it would be much more reasonable to get more people nationwide advocating for simply better living conditions of animals in slaughterhouses and fur farms and more humane methods of slaughter.

I would prefer they not have fur farms at all.. but I can understand the viewpoint of "starting somewhere" rather than aiming too high and achieving nothing.
