Cloud was up a tree in the park on Captain Planet, sprawled carefully along one broad bough, hands tucked behind his head and staring up into the leaves above him. He might have preferred to hide out in the Wilderness to do his thinking, but... aside from the fact that dwelling on things too long didn't help, he'd already lost enough days at both his workplaces. And besides, that eerily blank Wilderness had come back, again. He didn't want to spend much time at all there, like most people. It was too... empty. Too cold and sterile and silent.
This was better. And he could still take care of Adashino--somehow, out of all the things and people he forgot, he felt worst about forgetting his cat. Maybe because the animal would never have been able to understand why his master stopped caring for him.
But right now, his thoughts were revolving around the memory he'd gained, in the middle of the secondary memory loss. Such an ironic time to find a memory crystal...
Cloud continued staring upward, thinking hard, not really seeing the leaves, and only half-alert for sounds from below him. This area was pretty safe... the only thing he had to worry about sneaking up on him were people. And there were a few of those he wouldn't mind seeing, after all that.
