Characters: Bridge handy_psychic, Victory chieftainess and Pinky sassyandpink
Date/Time: Sometime before July 23rd
Location: The Fourth Floor
Rating: PGish
Summary: Bridge, Logan, Pinky and Victory are released onto the fourth floor and witness one of Bridge's memories.

OOC Notes: The staticed-out bit is Ghost's real name, Jack. This memory is from the episode "Missing", a full transcript of which can be read here. The context of this scene: Bridge has been kidnapped by a monster and thrown in a small underground cell. Ghost is searching for him, while Spike, Pinky, and the other Rangers Z and Sam go after the kidnapper.

----
As the group got off the elevator, they seemed to be in total darkness at first, and could no longer see each other. However, as their eyes adjusted to the blackness, they would notice that they are looking in on a tiny cell made of blank concrete except for a grille in the ceiling letting a small amount of light in.

Bridge, dressed in a green and gray uniform, is pacing around the cell, and talking to himself. As he does so, various noises can be heard in the background, including trains passing by outside, a church bell, a buzzer, and a fog horn.

"No way out... yet somehow I got in. But I got in. No way out. In. Out. In. Out. ... You know... I'm beginning to realize how I sound to other people." Dejected, the green-uniformed Bridge slumps against one wall, before looking down, noticing something and brightening.

"Hey-hey, I still have my communicator! I'll just call for help!" He triumphantly pulls out a badge identical to the one the current Bridge holds... except when he opens it, it sparks and pops. Circuitry can be seen sticking out of it. "... after I fix it." The green-clad Bridge holds is straight out in front of him and squats down, staring at it. There is silence for a long time, as the watchers observe Bridge pull a small flashlight out of his pocket and start fixing the badge with nimble fingers. Eventually, he finishes and snaps down the broken top panel.

"There we go... well, actually, there I go." Bridge stands and presses a button, holding the badge to his ear as if he is talking into a cell phone. "[static], are you there? [static], can you read me?"

"Bridge!" Ghost's voice answers. "You're alright! Where are you?"

"... In a room," Bridge says lamely, looking all around him.

"Could you be a little more specific?" Ghost asks, somewhat peeved.

"I'm afraid not," Bridge replies, then begins to babble, obviously nervous. "There's a small grille in the ceiling, but no windows and no doors. If there was a door, I could just walk through it, and if there was a window, I could just-"

"I got the point," Ghost interrupts. "You've gotta give me something. Anything."

"Let's see... I've heard a few sounds since I've been here," says Bridge, and seems to calm down a little. "Okay... there's a church bell... and the sound of a train. Then another train, then another train, then another train, then another train then a..."

"Bridge," Ghost interrupts. "Newtech City train station. Near a church."

"[static], you are good. Oh, I also heard a foghorn, and the sound of a buzzer. Kinda like..." Bridge makes a buzzing noise. "Oh, wait. I just heard a growl. Oh, wait... that's just my stomach. I'm... I'm a little hungry."

"OK. Train station, church bell, foghorn, buzzer," Ghost reels off. "That's a start. Hang in there, buddy, I'm gonna find you."

Bridge hangs up, trying to look more confident, though he is obviously scared out of his wits- it shows in his face.

"...Feel better. Well, nothing to do now but just sit back and relax..." He sighs and leans against the wall again. "...and take it easy." However, it is of course not going to be that simple. The wall begins to close in, and Bridge looks down on his feet, then over his shoulder. The other walls are static, but of course, this doesn't help him much. "... uh-oh."

For a while afterward, Bridge, Pinky and Victory have to witness the horrible sight of the Bridge in the memory attempting in vain to push back the wall, at various stages of desperation. He starts off using his whole body, suspending himself between two walls, pushing with both his arms and legs, straining, grunting and groaning.

When the walls get too close for this to be feasible, he instead sits on the ground, using just his legs. He seems to know it's fruitless, as his expression slowly becomes more and more terrified, his face drenched with sweat, yet he still pushes... pushes... his struggles getting weaker and weaker...

The observers can hear distant explosions coming from outside- though the Bridge in the memory doesn't know it, it's signs of Ghost mowing down a bunch of robot foot soliders to try and get to him.

However, it all seems to be in vain... as Bridge eventually stands, sideways at first... pushing with his arms... then turning to face the still-pressing wall. His communicator beeps.

"Bridge! Come in!" says Ghost, and he answers it. "I'm coming to get you!"

"Good," says Bridge, his voice filled with obvious panic. "Because I'd say I've got twenty seconds left."

Bridge continues to push... but after a short while, despite the explosions somewhere near him, he seems to accept the inevitable, ceases his struggling, bows his head, and folds his arms over his head.

This is how he is left as the memory fades...
