Summary: Sky is reborn in Edensphere, and Fugue is there to greet him.

Fugue slammed his journal shut before throwing it at the floor. He grabbed his head and willed his pounding headache away, but it continued to rebel against him. With a growl of frustration, he dumped himself into one of the chairs at the table in the midst of the room. A guard peeked in to check if everything was alright, and Fugue waved him off with an agitated, "I'm fine!"
He was tired. Stressed. The man felt like he'd been running for hours, days, or weeks. Everything had been going so well--so where did things suddenly go wrong? Anxious. Paranoid.
Swallowing, he took a moment to calm down and steady his breathing. His gold-eyed gaze fell on the journal lying on the floor. His own journal. He considered requesting Bubbles' company... but quickly thought better of it. He was frustrated enough as it was just without her, and she generally had a way of making him feel more tired. Maybe if he felt a little better later, he might ask for her company. But not right now.
Finally, silence. Peace. Fugue relaxed, calming down and loosening up from his earlier tension. Only the cocoons' wriggling sounds and the sound of his heart seemed to disrupt the silence, and as far as Fugue was concerned, it was alright. Then he heard the crackling sound of a cocoon breaking, following by the gross gloppy noises and sliding cocoon goop. Fugue's gaze flicked up to the table and fell on the bundles before he dragged himself up and took two into hand. Just in case. With that, he searched the room for the newborn before trudging over.
