Eyepatch had already done his collection work for the butcher shop earlier that day. This was one of the rare times that he got bored enough to want to do something other than sitting on his ass and smoking (hey, it happened... sometimes).

"Curing boredom" managed to reduce to picking up more smokes from the stand. Maybe he had a plan after that. Eh, not really. He could go bug Rabbit and his unicorn, he thought. Maybe Moon and his herd too (with all the intention of getting ready to run). He momentarily distracted himself with his own thoughts as he passed back through the Bazaar.

Then he came to sudden stop. Specifically, he spotted an older man nearby. He paused, unlit cigarette in his mouth, lighter in hand, and his one eye widened. Now, Eyepatch didn't much care to give passerby's a second glance, so why he was staring now was beyond him.

Rabbit had plans of going to the newly restored bookstore (since the unicorn had chewed through a book or two already). The redhead managed to weave through the crowd and lose the nuisance for a moment when he spotted a familiar redhead twin.

And without a unicorn, he was easily able to sneak up on his double. "Yo, Me-chan ♥!"

Lost continued walking towards his chosen destination at a relatively relaxed pace, caught somewhere between paying no attention to people walking near him and making note of significant landmarks. He had made a habit of doing whenever he went somewhere, in hopes that he would be able to commit said landmarks to memory, thus reducing the chances of getting lost. Which, fortunately enough for him, had only happened once or twice.

Lost's thoughts were interrupted as he noticed someone coming to a stop next to him. He looked sideways, and noticed a red-haired man with a cigarette and eyepatch standing there, just staring at him. This was curious...

"Sorry, can I help you with something?" he asked, just as another person, also red-haired, joined them, addressing the redheaded smoker.

He should've been used to Rabbit sneaking up on him by now, but Eyepatch impulsively leaped to the side. "Mother fuck!" Hands scrambling, it was all he could do to catch the unlit cigarette before it hit the ground.

Eyepatch forced a cough, rolled his shoulders forward as he straightened himself, then sniffed. "I was totally expecting that this time. Yeah." He brushed off his shirt and lifted his chin pompously, shoving the cigarette back into his mouth.

"Uh." When the other man spoke, it finally dawned on him that he had been staring. Well, this was awkward. And he really couldn't blame it on anyone else this time either. Or could he? He pointed to the man. "You got a piece of lint on your shoulder."

Fugue was wandering around Bazaar Ltd, unicorn in tow. After a few complaints about his horned friend's droppings in the past few days, the man had now provided it diaper-like dung bag and clipped a few pine tree-shaped air fresheners on its body. It wasn't exactly appreciative of this gesture, but Fugue wasn't particularly keen on its following him around, either.

Regardless, he was performing very unofficial and informal 'inspections', which were more like observations from afar. Fugue had been wondering if there was anyone openly selling memory crystals. Although it was unlikely, he just wanted to check and started in the most obvious place: the marketplace. He believed firmly enough that one could find practically anything on Bazaar Ltd; therefore, he wanted to put this belief to the test.

Then, spotting the older man distracted Fugue's attention. He felt intrigued for whatever reason and slowly approached with growing curiosity.

"Hello there!" he called.

Continuing his progress towards the tea shop, Lost heard someone calling to him, so he turned to see who it was. It was a man like himself, but most of the similarities ended there, as far as he could tell. He didn't have a unicorn following him, for one thing.

Confused by the presence of the unicorn, Lost gave the other man a bemused looking smile. "Hello.. Ah, why do you have a unicorn?" He assumed it was some sort of pet, though that didn't explain the recent trend on the journals of people mentioning unicorns, or the lack of them, in some cases.

The black-haired man turned red and was a little embarrassed. "Ah, well--err, yes. The unicorn..."

Fugue sort of wanted to kick it but instead decided to bear with Edensphere's latest curse of sorts. Other than leaving its droppings here and there, the animal wasn't wronging him yet. Who knew whether or not it would change its mind? But that was beside the point. "Seems either people got unicorns... or they didn't."

He glanced around, gold eyes seeking anyone who might be watching them before cupping his hand at the side of his mouth as if ready to tell a secret. "Supposedly it has something to do with..." He paused dramatically here before continuing, "virginity."

If Lost had been confused by the unicorn's presence, he was even more confused by the man's simultaneous embarrassment and apparent dislike of the creature. That is, until he heard him surreptitiously reveal that one possible deciding factor for who got a unicorn and who didn't involved one's virginity.

The man blinked a few times, not entirely sure what he should be thinking about this revelation. He supposed it explained in no uncertain terms why he didn't have a unicorn following him as well, but... He shook his head, leaving that train of thought where it was. "I see. That explains a few things, then," Lost said, finally, thinking about his own case and the case of the man he was talking to. He thought it would be indelicate of him to comment on that, however, so he said nothing about it.

I figure sometime after the other threads, possibly post-tea if you like. sins_sacrosanct December 9 2009, 18:53:27 UTC
He couldn't stay in the temporary housing forever, he knew. Animus had been told that employment was vital to securing a place of one's own--something about the idea caught at him, stuck on a portion of his psyche like a burr and itched and irritated, but he could see little in the way of alternatives. So, here he was, browsing through the Bazaar, wondering if there was to be found a job that didn't require much in the way of actual work.

Or at least, that's what he had been doing. Now he was just gracelessly lost, and had been for a while. Animus resisted the idea of asking for directions, but finally irritation won over pride, and he picked a likely target out of the thin crowd.

"Good evening, sir," He said politely to the older man, doing his best to present as unthreatening.

Lost was just leaving the tea shop, having had his fill, and making a mental note to return there soon. He was thinking about returning to his thankfully unicorn-less house, when he heard someone address him.

Looking up, with a mildly surprised expression, Lost saw another man standing there, quite possibly appearing to be lost. With an equally mild tone, he asked, "Is there something you need?"

The older man seemed friendly enough...Good. Smiling a small, affable smile, Animus inclined his head politely before speaking. "I'm afraid I've lost my way here, sir. Would you know where the elevator is from here?"

Maybe he did, maybe he didn't...maybe he was also new. Hm. Well, he'd just have to wait and see.

Lost proceeded to scratch his head a few times, trying to think if he knew where the elevator was or not. Finally, after a moment or two, he decided he didn't. Looking and sounding apologetic, the man shook his head. "Sorry, I really don't know where it is. I haven't learned all the places that are here yet."

Crossing his arms, he decided to add, "It can't be too difficult to find, if you felt like going to look for it."

After the longest unexplained absence ever, which would remain unexplained if Shoanji continued to have his way, the Khajiit reappeared in Bazaar Ltd. as though nothing had happened. Perhaps it hadn't, at least judging by Shoanji's demeanor it would appear nothing was out of the ordinary at all.

He was leaning against the wall of one of the many shops, simply watching people pass by. And he definitely wasn't considering picking their pockets... mostly. It was daylight after all.

Lost was one of those people to pass by Shoanji, although he didn't exactly notice he was standing there. Until, of course, he realized the wall of the shop he was leaning against happened to be right next to the tea shop.

He turned to enter the shop, but his progress was impeded as his map suddenly fell from his pocket, landing coincidentally near Shoanji's feet. Lost bent down to collect it again, and straightened up. "I'm sorry about that," he said, not entirely sure why he was apologizing.

It was a talent, remaining inconspicuous while standing in plain sight. Surprising, considering most here didn't know what a Khajiit was, so one would think Shoanji would stand out like a sore thumb. Then again, perhaps it was that lack of knowledge that aided him so well. No one knew what to expect, and they certainly never expected the worst.

And what convenient luck! As Lost bent down, Shoanji would reach out to subtly nip whatever he could out of Lost's pocket, and stash it in his own before really getting a chance to look. When Lost straightened he'd flash him a toothy grin.

"About what?" He almost purred out.

It was very subtle, Shoanji's movement. Lost almost didn't register anything as he bent down to pick up his dropped item. But, even though he didn't remember who he had been prior to coming to the Sphere, some instinct surfaced, and Lost detected the feel of something being lifted from his pocket.

If he remembered correctly, there was nothing in that particular pocket but a few loose coins and some folded up bits of paper that he'd written on earlier. He'd made a habit of noting down pieces of information about his surroundings, to better commit them to memory. If Shoanji had really taken something from him, Lost figured they were things he could afford to lose. "Ah... I assumed I was invading your personal space," he replied, his expression betraying nothing about his suspicions.
