Summary: Cara and Nova head down to check out this new place.
So... a different world had managed to appear in the Wilderness. One that was like Edensphere, filled with people that had once lived somewhere else before being brought there. It made Cara uneasy and curious--did that mean there were more places like Edensphere and Adstringendum? She'd assumed that she was the only one of the people she'd known who was in this sort of situation. Not even an assumption; she hadn't even thought about the fact that the others might be in a place like this. But her friends might not be safe at home after all... and if they weren't in this city, how did she know that they weren't somewhere entirely different?
And the thought of encountering a double was even stranger. Cara wondered if she would run into herself, or if Nova would. That would be--well, she couldn't really guess what it would be like... and after what happened to Youth, she would definitely be very careful if she did run into anyone she'd once known. Even if it hadn't been for the elevator's trickiness, Cara probably would have gone with Nova anyway so neither of them would fall victim to that.
"Keep an eye out for the cute fuzzy things," Cara said with half a smile as the elevator doors opened and she stepped out. She was used to the fact that there was no sign of the Tree anywhere in the Wilderness, but this place was way different. Cara shifted her grip on her spear slightly as she looked at the wrecked buildings. It looked pretty desolate, but looks weren't everything.
