Summary: Philosopher is born into Edensphere and someone is there to greet him.

Another day, another shift. Today was a rare day where Fugue felt somewhat compelled to actually show up for his job, although his mind wasn't at all on the potential task ahead of him. He was daydreaming while absentmindedly tapping his fingers on his closed journal. It was so quiet today. Maybe he would get off lucky and not have a single newborn hatch on his watch. Or maybe he would just cut his shift short and go get a snack...
But as soon as this thought crossed his mind, the sound of a cocoon wriggling carried across the silent hall. Fugue sighed and automatically reached for the newborn bundle that sat waiting on the table. His movements were precise, like the actions of someone who had done this thousands of times. Yet this slacker hadn't been on the job for a several weeks, as was his habit. He was a terrible worker.
Still, his gold eyes were alert as he waited for his charge to hatch. If it hurried maybe he could make it to the bazaar before Captain Bastet noticed he was gone.
