What was strange was how quickly they popped up. He'd only just been through this street, shopping for vegetables, and now there were more. "An apple a day keeps the doctor away?" Really? Neither kind of apple seemed that useful, though more memories perhaps made a doctor more required. There was no telling what would happen if one was to learn everything about their past. Had anyone ever achieved that? It was another thing to add to the list of things he was pondering.

Idly he touched the writing of one of the newer slogans. The paint wasn't even wet. Shouldn't there be some form of dampness?

The man in black was rushing by when he spotted Gai touching the graffiti. Was he responsible for this mess?! ...No, he had no spray can. Curses.

The man looked strangely familiar to Fugue. Had they met before? He was always forgetting names too busy to remember all the people he met. He was an important, busy man after all.

"Careful not to get yourself dirty," he called out to Gai as he walked by.

He knew that voice. And the body shape was familiar enough, even if the pants were darker than usual and the eyes were hidden. "I shall, Fugue." Was saying the name dangerous? Maybe. But likely not. "Have you seen much of this?" Gai doubted that Fugue was responsible. It didn't seem dangerous or background. If anything, he would blame Mother.

Gai took a few steps closer to Fugue, a friendly expression on his face. "It has been some time since I have seen you! You have been well?" Not killed again? Yet? He wished he had some inclination of how dangerous Fugue was, but he just didn't know.

This person knew his name. That meant they knew each other in some way...maybe from before he was reborn into Edensphere? His mind was too distracted to recall how he knew this man. He simply played it off.

"Ah...yes. Yes it has been a while!" Whoever you are. "I was under the weather for a while, unfortunately. I'm much better now though, thank you for asking." There was no point in bringing up the migraines that continued to plague him. He was fine most of the time.

"How about yourself?"

Here, at least, was someone else as offended by the graffiti as Fugue, although on more general purposes; a day would not be complete without Philosopher finding something to complain about. He'd been scrubbing at the paint where he found it, which was everywhere, and also muttering under his breath (metaphorically speaking), since there was no one else around to complain to. In fact, most people who paused soon left quickly. He assumed that they had other important things to be doing.

He was working on the removal of some strange slogan he didn't recognize when he spotted Fugue. Deciding it would only be polite to greet his former Greeter, he waved.

"Master Fugue, it is nice to see you out and about!"

Ah here was someone Fugue remembered, finally! Then again it was tough to forgot a talking golden robot that complained endlessly.

"Philosopher, it is good to see you." That wasn't a complete falsehood. Fugue was genuinely happy...to see the robot working like he wanted. "Are you making much progress?"

"It seems that when one removes one graffito, two others arise in its place!" The droid waved his arms to show his frustration. "I am beginning to think they can reproduce themselves. Do you have any idea what's going on here?"

Fugue frowned. "Yes I had noticed that. It isn't natural. One might thing it was another random action of the sphere." Except for him. He was still partially convinced this was something much more graver than mere pranks. It just...felt different.

"But I am afraid I am in the dark as well. Nobody seems to know what is going on for sure."

Walking without looking seemed to be a specialty of Crimson's. He usually managed to avoid bumping into people, but that was more because people usually tended to see and avoid him rather than any sort of attention on his part. At least that's what it looked like.

And today was no different. In fact, the man in the white-and-green striped hat was so busy studying the graffiti all over the place that he didn't notice, freezing mid-step to study on of the more... interestingly detailed pictures, his head twisting almost one-hundred and sixteen degrees to study it.

"Oh my~ Can that really be done?"

Well Fugue was bound to walk into someone today and if Crimson didn't move in time, he was about to be that lucky soul.

For his part, Fugue was trying to escape the Bazaar and head home. Yet every time he tried to make a break for it, he spotted more graffiti and more things he wanted to nitpick. By now he was in one of his infamous, bratty moods. That's why he was so distracted that he failed to see the man in the green hat gawking as some...questionable imagery.

By now, Crimson's head was almost turned completely upside down, which couldn't possibly be comfortable for his neck. Not that he seemed to notice, just like how he didn't notice the man heading straight towards him. Some who knew Crimson better might wonder if he had actually noticed and was now just staying where he was on purpose, but the quiet 'oof' upon collision seemed genuine enough.

"Ah!" He tipped, almost unbalancing as he had quite literally stopped mid-step to look at the graffiti, but a few hops and wild flailing of his arms managed to keep him upright before he turned towards Fugue. "Oh, I'm quite sorry! Did I run into you? People do always tell me that I need to watch where I'm going..."

fugue_angel May 14 2011, 20:15:26 UTC
Oof indeed. The collision wasn't painful but it was startling. Fugue jumped backwards and the sudden movement, followed by a flailing of his hands, knocked his sunglasses off and onto the dirt.

"Watch it!" His golden eyes glared at the troublemaker before he reached down to pick up his glasses. "You do need to watch where you're going, particularly if you're going to gawk at that ugliness while standing in the middle of the road."

As he stood back up, Fugue glanced at the wall Crimson was staring at..and did a double take. Well THAT was quite different from all the other marks he'd seen all day. No wonder this fellow was distracted.

Hillderness Reunion? :D pretecorrotto May 13 2011, 02:22:46 UTC
It was nearly impossible to work with people playing these ridiculous pranks. After about the fourth time someone had glued all the pages together in the journal room, Moon had given up and left for the day.

Not that anywhere else was much better. He had stopped in the Bazaar for something to drink and was currently trying to decipher the wave of graffiti currently messing up the wall in front of him.

Exactly how long had it taken this person to write the word DESU over and over again all up and down this huge expanse of building? Someone desperately needed a hobby.

Finally! Fugue was on his way out of the bazaar. He had enjoyed tearing into people and bossing them around but his luxurious home called to him. He was all most to the bridge to Access when he saw the grumpy looking blond haired man standing in front of another tagged wall.

Desu? Confound the Exile! He made no sense!

"Pardon me," he said to the blond man. He had to get pass him to go home.

Moon looked up at the sound of the voice and all of a sudden, the events of Silent Hill came back to him. His eyes narrowed as he studied Fugue. This man had died in front of him, he'd seen it! Of course, people coming back to life in Edensphere was not unusual, but death was usually more abstract here.

"You're back, huh?" He hadn't really kept up with the journals, so if Fugue had made an entry, it was likely Moon hadn't seen it.

Back? Back from where? Fugue was honestly confused, although it was probably a bit hard to tell with his stupid sunglasses covering his eyes.

"Back?" That wasn't the most intelligent comment in the world but he was rather thrown. Who was this blond man?

On his break at the clinic, Ben decided to study what new graffiti had gone up on the outside. What looked like a rainbow had covered over a lot of the writing that had been there when he'd come in in the morning, but I am in despair! All the writing has left me in despair! was still visible.

Looking past a set of interlocking triangles, Ben saw a bold proclamation of Your emotions betray you. In a much smaller, somewhat messier hand under it - overlapping a little - someone had written Your emotions wander around short-sheeting beds and putting everyone's hands in bowls of warm water. He'd become familiar with feeling like he knew something, but it was just out of reach. There were times when it was especially strong, and he thought this was one of them ( ... )

Mr. Prickly and Agitated became Mr. Confused when another stranger started talking to him out of nowhere. This one had caught him as he was rounding a corner.

"Are you talking to me?" Surely he wasn't, this man hadn't even seen him before right this moment. How would he know to ask such a thing? Fugue looked behind him just to be sure.

What was with people today?

Your emotions betray you. "You just seem bothered," Ben said instead.

The man's sense was... not entirely clear, no, but that was easy to sense. He might have picked up on it even without the Force.

"I do?" Being that transparent was a bit disturbing. "Ah I suppose I have a lot on my mind." He scratched his head. "It's been a rather hectic morning."

Did he know this man? He wasn't sure, he could possibly be one of the people he met before he was reborn. These situations always made him feel awkward.
