It was another walk in the marketplace for Fugue, though he was donning his usual favorite 'old man' outfit. The robes were long and thick; it had a hood that shielded his face from wandering eyes. A long beard and accompanying mustache covered the bottom of his face, and the beard trailed down as far as his waist. If only he'd known that his beard seemed awkwardly crooked today. The man, though tall, might've been taller if only he hadn't slumped forward with faked terrible posture. And he hobbled about, though it could be observed that he probably was actually capable of walking a lost straighter and quicker than he actually was.

The man was rather wary of any kind of crystals -especially memory crystals- though there weren't many who knew how he felt about that. At least, he was pretty sure that there weren't many people who knew... And he was passing by this shop in his rather forced strange hobble. His gold eyes peered at the merchant, studying and trying to determine whether or not this was one of those black market guys ( ... )

Eyes were on her, Lucy could feel them as she glanced over her shoulder and beheld a sight she wasn't quite sure was common with this place. She looked back and forth quickly between the merchant and the odd man who was staring at her. The prisms were the last thing on her mind as Lucy stepped back from the booth and both the strange men to look at them both suspiciously.

Finally though, her gaze stayed on the hooded figure with the odd posture, lopsided beard and other features that just didn't sit right with Lucy. Gold eyes were staring her down for some strange reason that escaped the brunette at the moment as she placed her bagged amenities inbetween her feet. Her arms folded over her chest as she looked at the stranger, feeling rather uncomfortable.

"Can I help you?" She finally asked.

Her having turned around confirmed that he had met her at one point. He knew her name, right? Fugue's mind whirled as he searched for the answers but only came up blank. Dying could be such a hassle at times.

Body language spoke in volumes, and the young lady seemed anything but comfortable at this point... before he realized that he'd been staring at the girl. Studious gold eyes now widened in shock just as she asked the question.

"Err, forgive me. I couldn't help but think we'd met somewhere before." He shakily extended his hand -that looked somewhat healthy for an old guy's- for a handshake, but the motion pulled his robes just so there was a tug on his beard. So before completing the motion, he instead raised his hand to fix the beard that was threatening to fall from his face. After deciding it was secure, he once more extended the handshake. "My name is Fugue. Through unfortunate circumstances, I don't really recall who I've met in the past."

Fugue. This was Fugue? The young guy with the black hair who'd sent those tree limbs after her, Allen, Lavi and that other boy was Fugue?! Now he stood there in what was clearly a disguise wanting to shake her hand. Well... there didn't appear to be any tree limbs around them to attack anyone so Lucy took a couple steps forward. A million things were running through her mind as her own hand, much smaller than Fugue's reached forward to embrace his outstretched hand in the almost universal gesture of greeting ( ... )
