Who Are You??

Mar 25, 2009 15:18

I have to laugh every time I add readers on Facebook or MYSpace who send me these: Do I know you? Who are you?

I'm not offended. But look, my avatars on both of those places are BOOK COVERS. Hello????

ROTFLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

dumb questions, myspace, facebook

I'm jealous you have book covers for your avatars! I can't wait for that day . . .

Yes, but.. some people only add 'friends' on facebook - if someone requests an add, and I don't recognise them, I will ask who they are.. book cover or not! :0)

lol I know what you mean.
surely you can read the person's profile if you don't know them? That or make your profile private! XD

You can't see *anything* when someone sends you a friend request on facebook, just a name and avatar. I agree that having a book as an avatar makes things a little easier, but it still may not be clear.

It all depends on how you use facebook.. many people I know use it purely for keeping in contact with friends. I, for example, know every person on my friend list there, even if they are just on a forum that I run or visit. Others, like Katherine, also use it for marketing, so she adds loads of people she doesn't know.

So in my case, if someone sends me a request, and I don't know them, I will send back a message, asking if I know them, or there's a reason for the add. Others though will add, then ask.
