corrections:

Honnan - Where from? (not honnon)
Hogy vagy/hogy van - how are you (not hagy vagy/hagy van)

éjszak instead of Éjszkat

Jó reggelt kívánok - good morning
Jó napot kívánok - good day
Jó estét kívánok - good evening
Jó éjszakát - good night (you didn't have this one)

you had Yó instead of Jó for good in those three

the pronunciation given for the alphabet is more or less correct, but only if you have a british accent.

orange - narancssárga is technically correct, but most Hungarians just say "sárga" for both orange and yellow. For example, carrots and egg yolks and pumpkins and melons are all "yellow" not "orange"

red - piros -- there are two words for red, one is piros (fire engine red) and the other is vörös for wine, blood, hair, fur, things like that.

also, while i'm being helpful, your journal title "Dallamos -ból élet mi találkozott mi nevet mi tartott -ra böjt" doesn't mean anything. i'm sorry, but it's not that it has mistakes it's literally incomprehensible. it comes across as "melodic life what he met what name what he kept fasting" but if you tell me what you were trying to say, i can translate it for you.

Thanks so much for all the information!

As for the 'header' stuff, haha..sob, the joys of google translate, right? I'm so sorry for slaughtering a lovely language weiotjrdio

If I think of anything to put up I'll be sure to ask you if that's okay? I just haven't touched the main journal in forever since places I play are usually community oriented.

But again thank you so much! I'll work on fixing up the errors! ♥

No problem. :) I've never come across the kind of roleplaying you're doing, but it looks like you're having fun and I think it's great you're learning something about Hungary and its history in the process. To me, it looks like it would be really hard to roleplay a country. I have no idea how I would go about it.

I found your journal because I was searching through recent public entries looking to see if anyone was commenting on the current political situation in Hungary, but no one is and since no one talks about Hungary much, November 9th was "recent" enough that your journal showed up.

Google translate is notoriously bad for Hungarian, because Hungarian grammar is very different for English grammar. Those 'words' that start with hyphens in your journal title? They're actually suffixes like the "-ing" in "thinking", but google translate didn't know which word to put them on so it left them as separate words, which is pretty funny I think.

Your username, edes_virag is fine though. You got "sweet flower" exactly right.
