He says that the white bars are probably due to some connecter being loose. It's probably repairable, he says. May require a screen replacement, depending on where it's loose. A tech might be able to fix a loose connection, if techs are allowed to mess with the screen interior.

Probably, he says, one/some of the sets of pins that go to the display.
