Description: Being hung over and having to go to work really sucks.
In retrospect, it would have probably been a better idea to ask for the day off right after his birthday.
In retrospect, having that idea earlier would have been a better idea.
The previous night has been fun, almost too much fun, and he ended up drinking himself to oblivion. In a closed setting such as that, there was really no problem with getting completely wasted on your birthday, especially not on a completely uneventful one such as your 23rd birthday. The problem was that, as it turned out, he had to get up to take the early shift at work the next day and found himself working with a hangover.
No, scratch that. He found himself having to lug 50 plus pounds fertilizer out of his car and into the store.
Had he not been hung over, he may have tried to open lock and lift the gate before grabbing the bags.
Cursing at the key in his fingers, at the fertilizer, and his own pounding headache, he tried his best to lean the bags on the wall and fit the key into the hole.
Some days were just not made for getting out of bed.
