Characters: Pavel Chekov, Hikaru Sulu
When: Saturday, October 24th, 6 pm
Where: Bookstore on 31st Street
Rating: PG-13
Description: Now that Hikaru has actually agreed on a date, it can only go well, right? ...maybe not.
Pavel shifted and shoved his hands into his jeans, waiting for Hikaru to arrive at the bookstore. Okay, he'd come early, which was probably a little lame, but the alternative--leaving Hikaru waiting--was much worse. He wasn't even sure why he was bothering with this. He barely knew Hikaru aside from flirting in a bar a couple times, humiliating himself a few times over through his phone escapades, and yet...
And yet, he couldn't shake the feeling that he wanted to do this. He checked the time quickly and straightened his coat, the scarf over that, and kept waiting. It was cold and he could have gone inside, at least picked up a cup of coffee and stayed warm while waiting for the last twenty minutes he'd been there, but no. It wasn't going to work like that. He had everything already working against him, and he was going to have to work even harder to encourage Hikaru to think he was more than a creepy kid with a crush. He flipped his phone open again to check the time, to make sure he'd gone to the right bookstore on 31st street (there weren't that many, and he was absolutely sure Hikaru wasn't going to want to visit the Christian one two blocks over), and just pass the time.
