How do you get the fic onto the kindle?

It's really easy. First, you have to put the fic on your hard drive in a format kindle recognizes. So, copy/paste it into a document and then you can save it as .txt or rtf or whatever works for your kindle. Or download calibre, an application that will convert e-books into any format.

Then you hook your kindle up to your computer. If you aren't using calibre, you just drag the files into kindle's doc folder. If you are using calibre, it will register kindle's presence and you just click 'upload to device', and that's it.

You'll probably have to experiment some with formats. I found that mine actually doesn't read pdf, (which is why I got Calibre to convert that) even though it said that it did. Also had to fiddle around a bit do get it to keep paragraph breaks when I was using .txt files.
