My boyfriend just broke up with me because I found I was pregnant and refused to get an abortion. I feel like my life just became the storyline of an after-school special, minus the fact we're both in our mid-thirties. Maybe that would make it more of a Lifetime movie

Wow, I'm so sorry your boyfriend turned out to be such a jerk! But congratulations on getting pregnant! I'm also 36, and if I wanted to have a kid and were in your situation I'd absolutely have it too.

Thanks :) It was definitely a surprise-- I went to the doctor to get back on the pill to regulate what I thought was an incredibly long period (over a month) and instead found out I was 12 weeks pregnant.

I'm sorry to hear your ex partner's being a douchenozzle, but I'm glad for you -- with the obstacles in your path, getting pregnant was indeed against the odds, and it's wonderful that you get the chance to have a child of your own before your illnesses made that impossible. I'm glad you're getting this choice, and I wish you the best of luck with it.

And a more worthy partner to take the place of the one who's leaving, too.
