Pet Peeve Number 18
Nothing takes me out of a fic quicker than Britishisms or Americanisms where they don't belong. When an American character is dropping words like torch (flashlight), route markers (road signs), head lamps (head lights), and tyres (tires) before I've read more than a minute, I'm already out of the story and wondering if the author just didn't give ( Read more... ) -
