markets of colorful spices pouring over in bins
and the smell of fresh blossoms strung up like necklaces
is a window I have never lived in
but i have train rides that show you endless graveyards
and days where glitter literally falls from the sky
only to disappear seconds later

She melted soft in the ballroom
She felt up the walls, her hands and arms
Her fingers in all the imperfections

crawl through the tunnel,
feel skin crawl. the carpet of beetles
shining like a fine jewelry
all the tiny legs squirming to create
a sea, an auditorium of their movements
your ears shutter, you raise your shoulder
and take a twist of the spine. honey
crown of insects, attempting
to emerge

her fingers trace the walls of bottles
and black glass, to stainless steel sinks
and pink soap and paper towels
traces, luminescent all over her hands
you can see where they've been dancing
in the eyedroppers
beaks and feet, a waxed-white

I have so long scurried in the woods
barefoot, through mud and moss
alone looking at the sky,
at the clouds it holds inside
feet in a cool brook
now comes a time
i keep all the lights on
wear a silk robe and lay across the piano
like an animal
