I did, for the first time. And I am certainly proud.

Also, on an unrelated note - one of my dogs tested positive for heartworms and I just found out when I called the vet to tell them to approve our prescription for 1800PetMeds. WTF? Have any of you had to deal with treating heartworms in a dog before? What should I expect (cost- and treatment-

Congratulations on voting! You should be proud!

I have no idea about heartworm treatment. It sure seems like they should've let you know. "Oh, by the way..." I do think it's not as traumatic (cost- and treatment-wise) as it used to be. Good luck!

I haven't dealt with heartworm recently by when I was 6 or so our 2 y/o boxer died of it because the vet never told us to put him on HW meds! Really traumatic, him coughing up blood and not being able to walk. I'm sure it's different now but I definitely wouldn't procrastinate!

The thing is, she's been on heartworm prevention meds for 6 months now, and I was told that taking the meds might hurt her. They called me back today and said the meds might have helped kill the heartworms. I am really confused and they need to get their crap straight.
I'm sorry about your dog! That must have been so scary for you.
