Did everyone have a good long weekend?
Nick came into town Thursday because he had to give Summer Pointe stuff and we hung out. I made him homecooked food and we got Rusty's. Friday I had a final to take...boo! After the final, we went to Commerce to see my family. My aunt and uncle were in town and my other aunt brought her two grandkids from Alaska...so I wanted to go. Mom and Dad had left before us because they had a party to go to in Owasso that night. Anyway, Nick had to meet my whole family. Two of my great aunts were there...but left as soon as I got there. I guess we completely missed the party. So, fortunately for Nick, it was really just a small intimiate group of my Gramma, me, aunt Vicki, little Lily (who LOVES Nick) and aunt Sara who never said anything. Most other people left or weren't around most of the time. I had a really good trip. Then we had to go make an appearance at the party where my parents were. My dad kept asking me to go and Mom said he wanted me there. We got free food, so no complaints. Nick was such a sport...
Then, Saturday, my family was all going to see the Lion King...well, except me. Mom made us pay for our own tickets and I couldn't afford it. They chose to go on a weekend I would be in Tulsa, so Nick said he'd do something fun for me. The whole day was surprise to me. It was a great day! He picked me up at 12:30, blindfolded me (with a belt...), and drove to Woodward. It was beautiful. We had a picnic in the park and sat around. It was a beautiful day! After that, we went to his house to grab some Incredible Pizza cards and went over there. I'd never been there! We had $25 on cards to play. It was fun. Together we got 439 tickets!!! We picked out a bunch of little things. I got a cool, gaudy plastic ring, a phyedelic (sp?) slinky and a fuzzy purple slap bracelet. He got a whoopie cusion, pez dispensor, a bouncy ball and something else I can't remember. Anyway, I had a lot of fun being a kid again. We set the high score on the gator beating game...TWICE! After that we got an icey at Josh's icey place...yummy! We went to my house to kill time after that. We just hung out for a while and got Arby's. That night, we went to the DRIVE IN! I've only been there once and he kept saying he'd take me. I drove so we could sit in the bed. We brought lawn chairs and a radio (which wouldn't pick up our station). It was a double feature, but Superman ended about midnight...and we still had to see Lake House. I knew we wouldn't make it to bed until 3 and Nick had to be up at 6 and I had to be up at 7 for work the next morning, so we went home early instead of seeing Lake House. It was a great day!
Sunday I worked...nothing specatular. I think we just spent time at my house that night...
Monday afternoon I hung out with Nick and that night had Family Home Evening. We played 3 games (I didn't win any) and watched Pirates of the Carribean. Mom wants to be a Pirate. After that, I went over to Sean's for about 40 minutes before he went to bed. I hadn't seen him and he had some people over. It was fun. Too bad it got cut short. They were talking about coming to visit early next week...we'll see.
Tuesday I went to lay by the pool with Mom and Jamie. It was nice. We came home and eat artichokes, I showered...and then it occured to me I had nothing to wear to the Varners. I had to wear shorts because being outside would be hot (plus the no AC in my car) and the only ones I had were red and I had nothign to go with them. It was very disturbing. I didn't leave for an hour because of it. Very stressful. I went to Nicks and we hung out and then went over to Boberts. We didn't know anyone and the party and we had to get back to Nicks for dinner, so we didn't stay long. We had dinner and shot off fireworks. Nick was in charge of lighting them, so I didnt really get to enjoy myself as I would have liked. It was manical at all. He lit them...I had to stand in the yard trying to see all the others around...I hung out until midnight. Nick was tired and had to work in the morning.
Wednesday I just spent around the house. Nothing big. I finished Catch-22. I've kinda been reading it since September. Now I'm starting A Simple Twist of Fate...its really good. Everyone should buy it when it gets published...I came back here in the afternoon. I went by the movie theatre to pick up tickets to the new Pirates movie for the midnight showing tonight. I'm taking Nick. Anyway, I think I got upskirted there. It is very disturbing. I was standing there talking to the lady and she was telling me I couldn't get two students without two student IDs and I feel a tug on my skirt (I was wearing my white one because its short and flowy and its hot in my car...plus it has shorts so I dont have to be lady-like...) So I turn around expecting to see someone I know (because it felt like a deliberate pull) and there is this guy standing REALLY close to me looking straight ahead. I was weirded out. It struck me as odd that he didn't acknowledge that I'd turned around or anything. Then I felt another pull...but I ignored it expecting to get the same result if I turned around. As I left it dawned on me that that might have been what had happened. I sat in my car and watched him get in his truck. I saw him put, what looked to me to be a cell phone, in his pocket. I am furious and upset. It pisses me off. To make matters worse, I was getting out of my car to bring my stuff inside when I got to my apartment and some jackass yelled something to me out the window of his car. Gosh...sometimes I hate some boys. What gives you the right to do something like that? There is a special place in hell reserved for you.
I worked last night. Today I have a lot to do. I have a story that I've supposed to been working on for a month due on the 10th and I started today. I have to get interviews in today because the weekend is coming up and its due Monday night, but I'm working all day Monday. So yeah...fun stuff. I work at 5 tonight. Nick comes in about 7:30 and we are going to a midnight movie tonight...tomorrow I need to take my car in and it will hopefully get fixed!!!
That's all folks.
