...wearing extraordinarily silly and colourful clothes can counter-act the depressive effects of having four exams and one long paper due over the course of one week and one day.
The latter of those two is the more demonstrative, I think.
Again, the latter more accurately represents my mood. It also represents my belief that if someone was to attempt to prove the existence of a God, it could be most effectively quantified with statistical representations of Boxes of Girl Scout Cookies Per Capita. ... I don't think they could convince me, but that would stand a slightly better chance than, say, "YOU ARE EVIL AND GOING TO HELL, BECAUSE GOD SAID SO. HE TOLD ME. REALLY. I EVEN KNOW YOUR NAME~!!!!!!1`!!. WAIT, YOU AREN'T JONATHAN?.... " (insert typos and speech problems as necessary, I'm not mean enough or patient enough to type them out)....
Erm, as you might be able to tell, I'm extremely bouncy. Like, ramming through walls kind of bouncy, instead of just bouncing off of them.
I don't know if this is terribly good, overall. I'm just hoping it lasts one more week (actually I've been a bit like this since Saturday-- as in Feb 21 Saturday, not 28), because my last midterm is next Monday in Language and Gender.
Oh! my mum got an electric kettle! No more using the one that her grandparents gave her parents for a wedding gift! (no, I'm not making that up. We were using that one).
But yea, I finished one midterm and one paper today: the paper for Language and Gender, about the speech patterns of 13 year old girls in conversation; and the midterm for Culture and Power. I think the essay came out fairly sober-sounding... I'm just hoping my TA for the Anth class has a good sense of humour. There was a question about neoliberalism. They asked for "at least 4-5 sentences" but gave a whole page. I wrote the whole page, then several sentences on the blank back of the page, then a drawing of an acorn (with stars and supposedly 'good' aspects of neoliberalist policy) and one of a rug and a little hand-broom (with bad things about it)..... the acorn had the text over it, "In a nutshell:", and the rug had a caption: "Just so much dirt under the rug". Um, oops?
Wednesday evening I have a Calc exam (and I'm trembling in fear whenever I think about it, so I'm just avoiding *shivers* thinking about it).... and Thursday night (I mean, seriously, who starts an exam at 7:15, and gives you an hour and a half??) there's a Chem midterm. Then Friday is (yet another) four-hour long chem lab... then Monday is my Language and Gender midterm.
Oh, and then, two weeks from today, I have a Culture and Power essay due, but it should be easy enough. Pretty much just a (sobered up) recap of the small essay I wrote on the test today, it's on the same subject.
Also, I bought a yard each of three shades of pretty purple silky-stuff, fabric I mean, and I'm gonna make a pretty purple shiny skirt thing. You know, in all that free time I have. *nodnodnod*
