I have done something and it is really weighing on my mind. Remember when I posted about going to OKC and Biz didn't show up? Kate and I went to the bathroom and called her. I called my IL's phone and left her a message that basically said, "Why aren't you here? We drove all this way to see you. We sure didn't do it to see Granny". Oh Lawd

I know just that sinking feeling after I have done something similar. The good news is that my fears usually turn out to be unfounded.

Can't you just call her to express your condolences and act like nothing is wrong? Then if she says something be prepared to make up some white lie about why you said that~possibly?

Diane, I think the frustration of the situation needs to be taken consideration by Granny if she heard it. Biz isn't always easy! I'm sure things will be okay. *hugs*

I totally understand. In fact, this morning I was just thinking about something I wish I could have sucked back in after I said it. With luck she never even heard it...

Oh I know too well that foot-in-mouth syndrome. You can't worry about it too much, because you can't do too much. And if she mentions it, then just tell her that it was the stress of Biz's no show and trying to make a point, that caused you to say such a thing.

Can you call Biz to ask if she deleted the message? I don't know if you can get a straight answer, but if you can find out, you can just approach it upfront with Granny.

I agree with everyone else (of course I usually do since these women are so wise!) that you should just call and express your condolances and if she mentions it, explain your feelings of frustration at the moment!
