Apparently eBay's policies are about to shift in a way to fuck over sellers and give buyers ultimate power. I could have used that 8 years ago when I was buying things, but now that it's time for me to start selling, that's no help

They are lowering insertion fees (by a whole nickel!) but jacking up Final Value Fees by 3.25% for the first $25. So if you insert a $10 beanie baby, you will pay 5 cents less to list it, and pay 32.5 cents more for Final Value fee. I know this sounds petty, but it adds up. Sellers can no longer leave negative feedback for buyers.
Here's the most troubling section though, and this is quoted verbatim:
To help ensure more buyers are protected, in some cases we'll require sellers to offer either PayPal or a merchant credit card to customers. PayPal buyer protection covers most qualified transactions up to $2000.00 USD
