(no subject)
Alright, so I am not sleeping well tonight... chalk it up to finals nervousness or whatever.
Anyway, nothing on the internet was interesting me much on my usual sites, so I was browsing IMDB. I went to the page for the next Spider-Man movie. Rumor has been that the newest villain would be the Lizard and Green Goblin (#2: Harry Osborn), and I was saddened, as I had been hoping it was my favorite villain: Venom. However, the IMDB site said that Venom would be in the new film (YAY!)... played by Topher Grace.
I believe I screamed , "WHAT!" loud enough to wake up half the hall at 2 in the morning.
Now, if anyone remembers, I was somewhat skeptical about Kelsey Grammer playing Hank "Beast" McCoy in the new X-Men movie, but, after seeing recent pictures, I think it will be okay. However, I am not sure the differences between Venom/Eddie Brock and Topher can be reconciled. At least without steroids. Now, if he were to play Carnage... (Carnage has essentially the same powers as Venom, but more so, as he is crazier, and is a lot less musclebound freakish. I like him as much as Venom for a Spidey villain, but had no hopes for him being in the new movie, as Venom must happen first for story purposes. It would be like Archangel existing without ever being Angel, or Jason Todd being the first Robin.)
