School Bans 9-year-old Boy's My Little Pony BackpackWhy must it be that this little boy be ostracized for liking his My Little Pony backpack? I remember being younger and crying at almost every sad movie they played at school. I was made fun of by everyone in my class. I felt ashamed of my reaction, but now I wonder how I would be if I was taught that the being sensitive could be a good thing and redirect it only when it was necessary? Instead of now running from my feelings, I could have a deeper insight to myself and others. What can this little boy become if he is taught to be himself and do what feels right for him? If the parents feel it is acceptable, then the school shouldn't force their opinion.

I cry over comedy sometimes -- not in a "laugh til you cry" sense, but in a sentimental sense -- and I've definitely had people find that odd.
