Yes, I read that last year and found it very short and very stark. I don't think I could possibly go and watch the film, reading the book was graphic enough.

Oh gosh, yeah, I remember reading that book, maybe a couple of years ago. Very dark, and terribly sad to see him gradually realize what was happening.

I have not read the book, but several years ago I saw the play adaptation from it performed at a community theater level. It was very very good. I should read the book, now you have reminded me of the story. :)
