Must not sleep yet. Just because I can't focus and my head is blurry and I can't do anything does not mean that sleep is a good plan. It is not a good plan. It is a bad plan.

Damn germs.

Knitting question. This thing:

I was in smocked dresses and cute rabbit cardigans at a school full of miniature eighties children. It makes photos less awful to look back on (Mummy has 1337 clothes-making skills, oh yes) but I suspect it has contributed to the Argh I Am Different bit of my brain.

I can't think what garment it is that that hooded thing reminds me of but there's definitely something. Maybe I'll email t'mother and ask. I need to ask her about mending the binding on her childhood Wind in the Willows anyway.

Broken sleep is huger in some ways because at least with generic winter germs you know they will go away. I got through to actual evening that was nearly night last night just by reading bits of Internet, so I am all Bright and Early, which may or may not end in disaster as my body realises it can't do Normal.

I have Badger sleep balm that I suspect of cunningly working by making me massage my shoulders a bit and thus relaxing me. It smells nice if you like that sort of smell, unless you don't in which case it is awful.

I have decided that the pointy hood is acceptable because (a)if I did have one like it at a small age it just means I was hugely hip and (b)hippies wear them things all the time.
