I can't find the actual clip from The Soup, but my hometown went national last Friday night when this clip was commented upon by none other than the illustrious Joel McHale:
Yeah... that doesn't scan. He'd have a confidence monitor in front of him that would be showing the final composite coming from the control room, so that way he knows where to point.
I can never understand why people just don't say "hey, it's live tv, and I have to think on my feet and sometimes the tongue is faster than the brain. Sorry." It always got to be technical problems or wardrobe malfunctions...
