So it's taken like two months, but here at last is my Magic Kingdom Hearts post

So back in October the middle elder sibling and I wandered southerly to attend the first ever Magic Kingdom Hearts gathering, a Kingdom Hearts cosplay meetup at the Magic Kingdom.

Here is the official cosplay music video, in which I barely appear, though looking derpy when I do. The sibling does not, because he is neither a cosplayer nor a KH fan

Not at all, hahahahahahaha. I'm doing passably, although I'm ready to just throw my hands up in despair over my remaining advisor. I'm sick of his crap, and--well it's a long story with plenty of recent schadenfreude. Maybe we could talk over skype soon. :D

Fingers crossed! Also, I am having a 30th birthday in advance of the actual date at Disney World, during the last week of June/first week of July. Interested?

Oh dear, that's no good, though I can't say I'm much surprised to hear about your advisor. Any luck with getting the art for the dissertation, at least? And sure--I've been on break for a week (basically I have been a lump occasionally poking at my spring syllabi, but mostly just a lump) so I'm free to chat basically whenever.

New Job is very nice! Not being an adjunct is amazeballs, although I'm still trying to figure out how to fit in and try to make friends beyond the acquaintance level. I have a minor case of social awkwardness coupled with the fact that the few functions I've hung out with as new faculty have been with tenure-track folk (I'm the only new lecturer hired this year) so it's a little awkward, me and my PhD-less butt, but everybody is super-duper nice. I am also the baby of the department! I am like 99.9% sure I'm the youngest person there. XP

It was pretty fun! I told the Namine I had a paopu with me and waggled my eyebrows (it was being carried around in the sibling's jacket) and she got all flustered. It was adorable.

Also I didn't get any pics of it, but the Halloween Town Roxas had the outlines of Oathkeeper and Oblivion embroidered on the back of the jacket. Apparently it only took her like two weeks to make the whole thing, which I found damn impressive.

It is a very great shirt!

(p.s. you should totes come with me next year, it would be awesome)
