I couldn't do it and this was a huge part of my life for about two months less than two years ago when my grandson (another hardcore geek!) was totally obsessed with it. He is only four and has already had several "fandoms"--Thomas the Tank Engine, Max and Where the Wild Things Are, BBC Merlin, and now Harry Potter. He can still do a great Max dance.

I read it aloud an average of once every day or two all the times I worked with three and four year olds, which I did for, oh, probably four years total. It flows so well that it was pretty easy to get it stuck in my head. :)

I LOVED that costume SO MUCH. It turned out SO fantastic and he looked ADORABLE.

Thank you. We loved it. But the plush did not survive three hard parties. He wore it out! Which is very Max-like now that I think about it.

Once when I ran across some old childhood books my parents have kept, I was startled to realize that I could still recite huge chunks of the stories.
