So you lie facedown on the floor, snake your other arm behind your back to put the ice pack in place, and then don't move, at all, lest the pack lose its precarious balance.
I ended up strapping it to my arm with an Iron Man bandana, and then later,when that wasn't working so well, used that stretchy medical tape stuff, which worked a lot better, but was still a bitch and a half to get attached all by myself.
