Call of Real Estate Agents

Apr 30, 2009 12:06

So one day I will have a real post about my life, but until then I have to put out a call...

Any of my Houston peeps who own their house want to tell us who they used for real estate agents, and if you liked them?

Remember that even if you get a great real estate agent you should still do a thorough investigation, have a licensed inspector and a lawyer. The majority of real estate agents represent the sellers not the buyers unless you specifically contract with them. I know a good real estate attorney in Houston if you get started in the process.

When my parents needed to sell my grandmother's house she went with this agent:

My mother holds her in very high esteem. They haven't used her for buying a house although they did have her scout out some places at one point I believe.

We have been loose family friends with Randy Klein a very long time - he just helped sell my grandmother's house, and was very, very easy to work with. ISTR that we also used him as a buyer's agent in 1997, but since I wasn't actively involved in buying, I don't recall the details. Somehow, though, I don't think we would have used him as a seller if he hadn't done right buy us when we were buying.

He bent over backward for John and I when he found out we had to move so quickly. Highly recommended.
