So unfortunately, my folklore Cuban myths book for the Around the World in 12 Books challenge STILL hasn't arrived!!! I'm already very late without having to worry about postal delays on top of that!

Glad to hear you plan to read more! I know that Merchanter's Luck takes place immediately after this. It gives you a good sense of how merchanters operate from their own POV. My personal favorite, to date, is Cyteen.
